Five Elements Yoga is grounded in the five elements of Indian Ayurvedic medicine. Each element is assigned a specific movement in the body that creates a "roadmap" for the yoga student to navigate through any given sequence, whether it is standing, seated or supine.
This essential five way roadmap allows you to easily remember any given yoga sequence and take it home to practice - whether it is for 60 seconds or 60 minutes so that yoga becomes integrated into daily life.
Five Elements Yoga moves at a very slow pace, always balanced between softness and strength, between heart and mind, and always focused on inner peace rather than athletic performance.
This class is suitable for complete beginners and all levels of experience.
You will need to be able to get up and down from the mat for this class.
There is some wrist and knee pressure but it is usually minimal and you can use blankets to cushion your joints.
