Restorative yoga is a relaxation practice of deep and conscious rest.  Using multiple props (bolsters, blocks, blankets) to support the body, poses will be held for approximately 15 - 20 minutes.   So in a 75 minute class you are likely to only practice three or four poses (of which one is a savasana variation).

The quietness and stillness of the practice helps to restore the whole body (physical, mental and emotional).  

No effort is involved in restorative yoga as your body is completely supported.

These are small group classes, limited to 12 students so that everyone can have multiple props.

You are welcome to bring your own blanket.  If you wish to use an eye pillow, please feel free to bring your own as we don’t have them at the studio (for hygiene reasons).

The class moves at a very slow pace.

Who is this class for?

This class offers a peaceful space to rest. If you would like to take some time for yourself, with nothing to do other than be supported, then this is the class for you.

How accessible is this class?

You will need to be able to get up and down from the mat once for this class. 

There is minimal joint pressure and you can use blankets to cushion your joints. There are no contraindications.
