Yoga is hugely beneficial at any age, but it can be particularly helpful in navigating the inevitable process of ageing.

As we age, we naturally become less flexible and strong resulting in less mobility overall.  We are more prone to developing diseases and ailments. We also experience different challenges mentally and socially. Our lives are constantly changing, and this can be challenging to deal with.  Modern life has been revolutionised by technology and social media. Yet, these can bring pressure and stress in a 24/7 world with little time and space to connect with ourselves and others, often leaving us isolated.

This course is for anyone over 40 who would like to try yoga in a supportive, inclusive group environment, whether you are a first-timer or an experienced practitioner.  We will be starting the course with some chair yoga, gradually moving to standing and then the floor.  Everyone will be able to move at their own pace.  The emphasis will be on finding a balance between effort and ease.  There will be a strong emphasis on improving mobility and learning techniques to help manage stress.  You can also look forward to some deep relaxation at the end of each class.
