Yoga Nidra is an ancient guided restorative meditation practice that helps us connect to a deep underlying peace of mind that is always present amidst all the changing circumstances of our lives. Yoga Nidra systematically relaxes you at every level of your being.-body, emotions and mind. Supporting your health, offering vitality, clarity and a greater ease in our daily lives.
During this class, we shall explore the practice of Yoga Nidra in more depth. Allowing an opportunity to turn inward, slow down and soften more deeply.
In the practice of Yoga Nidra you lie down, get comfortable and are guided through the practice (The practice can also be done seated if lying is uncomfortable.)
Regular practice of Yoga Nidra offers the opportunity to release years of accumulated tension and can help support anxiety, depression, insomnia and other conditions.
Yoga Nidra can have a deeply relaxing effect and leave us feeling more calm. People struggling with anxiety, stress, depression, grief, insomnia, and fatigue will benefit from this class.
It is recommended that this class is not suitable for someone who has a history of severe trauma. (The practice can help with trauma, but working with a specialist trauma-informed practitioner would be advised.)
Please wear comfortable warm clothing and if you wish you can bring your own eye pillow or mask.
